Freak the Mighty

SO beanhead and i FINALLY started reading one of the books on the list. we were studying in the library monday night and went to the kids section to find "where the wild things are" since she's never read it. then on the way out beanhead saw "freak the mighty" and got real excited. then we realized it was on the list and decided to check it out to read it.

yes it is a "kids" book but its a chapter book soooo...=)

on monday night we read the first 8 chapters and tonight we read two more. so far i'm really enjoying it. the story is about two boys that are both considered "different" but that become great friends. at least thats what IVE gotten so far. beanhead's already read it and knows the whole story. i think what really draws me in is that freak reminds me of both myself and my younger brother. he also reminds me of a nicer version of stewie griffin from family guy. lol

i really like the book and i can't wait to finish it! i also think i'm going to get it for my younger brother for his birthday. i think it may be a little below his reading level but i still think he'll like it.
